Who I am

I was born in Vienna in 1960. As my father died when I was young, at first, my mother brought my brother and me up alone. However, together with grandma and my brother our different kind of family worked rather well, and in 1968 my step-father joined us.
My school time I neither remember as great fun, nor as a pain. When I finished secondary school in 1978, I decided on an education in the hotel and tourism industry. This was the right decision as I loved the idea of mixing holiday feeling with tough business at that time. However, the important goal of having my own family moved my life in another direction. So, in 1983 I entered the world of pharmaceuticals and am still there today.
In 1982 I married a wonderful woman and had two fantastic children with her. Fabian was born in 1982, and Camilla followed in 1990. After a divorce, I married again in 2006 to another wonderful woman. Aii is Thai and brought a lovely daughter to our patchwork family. Naritsara was born in 1995. I appreciate my wife’s decision in the end to move house to Vienna, and I honour the children’s acceptance for this complete new situation.
My life was and still is coloured. As time has passed by I have decided not only to love the good times but to accept the bad ones as well, which serve as a learning experience. Bad times are no fun, however bad times as well as good times have made me what I am today. I am a man living “today” – I honour my life as well as the lives of my ancestors, and I have dreams.
